Want to become better at finding your own ideas? Most of it is a matter of paying attention. Ideas are all around us and free for the taking.
One little trick I use is to write ideas down as soon as I've heard or thought of them. I have pens and paper at all my favorite perching spots in the house, I have them in the car and in my purse. The ideas get dumped in a box in my office and every so often I go through them and add them to the appropriate files for immediate or future use.
Here's one project I'd like to give you as a gift. I call it an Idea Catcher.
Download the pattern here - Idea Catcher.
You'll also need a 3x3" pad of post-it notes in your favorite color.
There are two folder patterns here. Print this off on heavier paper - something like cardstock or 80-100 lb paper.
The instructions are included with the pattern.
By the way, they make a great little gift too. Just add someone's name to the top flap and surprise them with this personalized gift.
