Hi. My name is Evelyn Grace Marinoski. I am both an artist and business person. I guess you can say that I'm the dreamer and developer behind Willowrose Learning Centre.

For years I've had a dream of someday building an arts and business community I call Willowrose Village. This dream is about giving people the knowledge and tools I wish I would have had available to me when I began. It would have made a huge difference in my life.

These Classes are a step toward that dream.

Why arts and business? Isn't that a rather unlikely partnership? Maybe, but my experience tells me they can be a pretty potent combination. Also, because these are two areas of life that I have a passionate interest in.

Of the two, my first love was and is the arts and creative end of things. Just ask anyone who knows me. I'm a very curious soul and I love to learn. So ask me anything about the arts and creativity and I'll probably at least have heard about it.

But I didn't just want to do the arts as a hobby or sideline. I dreamt of getting into something creative as a business, but I'll admit that for years I ran from that like a scared rabbit. Why? Because I kept telling myself that I wasn't a sales or marketing person.

I finally realized that the biggest problem with that was my own negative attitude. So I set out to learn about business. Admittedly, there wasn't much enthusiasm to start with, but what I learned has changed my attitude from one of strong aversion to one of passionate interest.

As I've talked with other artists and business people, I've discovered that many of them struggle with the same problems I did. I'd love to see them find a new freedom and interest in business the way I have. I believe that a willingness to learn combined with some new knowledge could help many artists and business people experience a new level of success in their art, business and life.

I also think that combining arts and business benefits both sides of this. Artists often struggle because they've never learned about business. Businesses can benefit greatly from becoming more creative and exploring the right brain, intuitive side of things.

That's where Willowrose comes in. The Learning Centre part of this officially began in January, 2010. I've taught adult education classes on and off for the better part of twenty-five years, but now I'm bringing all of that together as the Willowrose Learning Centre.

I love to teach and share with others the things that have benefited me and made my life richer. My goal is to start with what I can teach, and then to add other classes and instructors as time goes on. Please explore what there is available at present, as well as possible future classes.

I very much hope that you will feel free to let me know what you want to learn. I want Willowrose Learning Centre to be relevant, so classes and information will change and be added to as I get input and feedback from clients and prospects.
