When the temperature is just right, there's nothing like watching children making snowmen. Usually with more than a few snowballs finding their targets or handfulls of snow being dunped down someone's back when they least expect it.

Then there's finding the nearest hill and careening down it on their sleighs with shrieks of half-scared delight.

If you're lucky, there might even be a cup of hot cocoa and a cookie on the verandah before you head off for another round of fun.
